Payroll is an accounting system that keeps the record of all employees like their personal information, salary, wages, tax deductions, net pay, gross pay, etc.


QuickBooks payroll is designed for small to medium-sized businesses. It supports the company to manage its employee funds, calculate payroll taxesand creating a clear tax picture and submitting them on time.


A client has to face many errors while accessing the payroll because sometimes payroll doesn’t respond due to the update process. It means QuickBooks payroll won’t update errorhas arisen.

Fix error when updating Desktop or Payroll

  1. Run Quick Fix my Program from the QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub.
  2. If you still can't install the update, delete it from your QuickBooks folder. 
  3. Open QuickBooks Desktop.
  4. Go to the Update Now tab, then select the Reset Update checkbox.
  5. Select Get Updates.
