Error code 15222 in QuickBooks typically occurs when there is an issue with the QuickBooks Desktop update feature. To fix error code 15222, you can follow these steps:


Update your QuickBooks Desktop:


Open QuickBooks Desktop and go to the "Help" menu.

Select "Update QuickBooks Desktop."

In the "Update QuickBooks" window, click on the "Update Now" tab.

Make sure the "Reset Update" checkbox is selected.

Click on "Get Updates" to start the update process.

Once the update is complete, close and reopen QuickBooks.

Verify your Internet Explorer settings:


Open Internet Explorer and go to the "Gear" icon (top right corner).

Select "Internet Options" from the dropdown menu.

In the "Internet Options" window, go to the "Advanced" tab.

Scroll down to the "Security" section and make sure the following options are checked:

Use SSL 3.0

Use TLS 1.0

Use TLS 1.1

Use TLS 1.2

Click on "Apply" and then "OK" to save the changes.

Configure your antivirus and firewall settings:


Check if your antivirus software or firewall is blocking QuickBooks Desktop from accessing the internet.
