QuickBooks payroll is a user-friendly module that comes combined with the accounting software and has various other useful options as well. But QuickBooks payroll also faces some errors and one of those if QuickBooks Payroll Error PS033 which is usually caused when CPS folder has a damaged file.

QuickBooks payroll error PS033 typically occurs when there is an issue with downloading or installing payroll updates. To fix this error, you can follow these troubleshooting steps:


Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release:

Open QuickBooks and go to the "Help" menu.

Select "Update QuickBooks Desktop."

In the "Update QuickBooks" window, click on the "Update Now" tab.

Make sure the "Reset Update" checkbox is selected.

Click on "Get Updates" to download and install the latest updates.

Once the update process is complete, restart QuickBooks.


Verify your payroll subscription:

Open QuickBooks and go to the "Employees" menu.

Select "My Payroll Service" and then "Account/Billing Information."

Sign in to your Intuit account using your login credentials.

Verify that your payroll subscription is active and up to date.

If necessary, update your subscription information.


Check your QuickBooks company file location:

Make sure your QuickBooks company file is saved in the correct location.

Open QuickBooks and go to the "File" menu.

Select "Open or Restore Company" and then "Open a Company File."

Browse to the location where your company file is saved and ensure it is accessible.


Reset QuickBooks Payroll Updates:

Open QuickBooks and go to the "Employees" menu.
