Open QuickBooks Desktop:

Launch QuickBooks Desktop on your computer.

Check for Updates:

Go to the "Help" menu at the top of the screen.

Select "Update QuickBooks":

In the Help menu, choose the "Update QuickBooks" option.

Go to "Options" tab:

Click on the "Options" tab to customize the update process.

Turn on Automatic Updates:

Check the box next to "Yes" for "Automatic Updates."

You can also choose to share automatic downloads with other computers on your network.

Close and Save:

Click "Close" to save your preferences.

Manual Update:

If you prefer to initiate the update manually, follow these steps:

Download the Latest Update:

Visit the QuickBooks Desktop Updates page on the Intuit website.

Choose your QuickBooks version and click on "Get the latest updates."

Select the Appropriate Version:

Download the latest update file that corresponds to your QuickBooks version.

Install the Update:

Once the download is complete, double-click on the downloaded file to start the installation process.

Follow the On-Screen Instructions:

Follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.

Choose the "Next" button to proceed through the installation wizard.

Restart QuickBooks:

After the installation is complete, restart QuickBooks Desktop to apply the updates.

Verify the Update:

Open QuickBooks and go to the "Help" menu.

Select "About QuickBooks" to confirm that the latest release and version number are displayed.
