Manually installed plugins not showing | Forum

I have manually installed both a plugin as well as a theme through ftp, but they are not showing up in my admin area to be able to install them.

Have you uploaded just the zip file? If so unzip those files. You should be able to see the directories for each plugin and theme you uploaded in ow_plugins and ow_themes folder.

I was able to solve the problem. I had to unzip the file, then go into the unzipped file and use the first file from there. If that makes sense...

that doesn't make any sensethat makes perfect sense. when you unzip something a lot of the time it'll put it in a folder for you.
