The issue is that not everyone's Legendary Gems are created equal. Some are more scarce and powerful than others D2R ladder items, which can make it difficult to figure out which are the most powerful gems a bit difficult. Here's everything you need to learn about how to get these essential items-and how to make them even more powerful in Blizzard's mobile first RPG.
Legendary Gems are available in a few different varieties such as 1-Star, two-Star and 5-Star. As you're able to imagine, 5-Star gems have a huge advantage to the 1-Star and 2-Star Legendary Gems, but they are also much more rare and hard to find.
How can you get these gems? They can be found by completing Elder Rifts in conjunction with Rare or Legendary Crests. They are consumable items that can be purchased through the battle pass, or other in-game shop bundles. Using a Rare Crest provides you with a chance to obtain a one- or 2-Star Legendary Gem once you have completed one Elder Rift, while using a Legendary Crest guarantees that Legendary Gems will drop with a slim chance of finding a 5-Star Legendary Gem. The more crests you slot into your Elder Rift, the more gems you will receive in the end as the reward.
There are some other options to obtain Legendary Gems. They can be bought (or sold) by other players on the Marketplace with Platinum and they can be made using a mixture made up of Runes in addition to Platinum. You can make 12 Star Legendary Gems right at the Jeweler.
Or craft a random Legendary Gem with the hope of earning a five-star Legendary Gem. You can also use Fading Ember to purchase Legendary Gems at the Fading Ember Merchant to purchase certain 1- and 2-Star Legendary Gems, with the merchant's stock changing weekly cheap d2r items. Not to mention certain Legendary Gems can be found within Battle Pass in the game.
