Step 6: Selecting QuickBooks online company

·         Select the QBO company from the drop down to which you want to import data to

 

Step 7: Copying the data file

·         Select the company file copy the data file there and it will take sometime

·         After all the data are copied you will get a notification and you have to click on ok

·         After the data is ready in QuickBooks online you will be sent an email confirmation regarding the same and you will be asked to complete the setup

Create a QuickBooks Online Account:

If you don't already have a QuickBooks Online account, you'll need to sign up for a subscription that meets your business needs. You can choose from different plans offered by QuickBooks Online, such as Simple Start, Essentials, or Plus.


Back up QuickBooks Desktop Company File:

It's important to create a backup of your QuickBooks Desktop company file to ensure that your data is safe during the conversion process. Go to File > Create Backup to create a backup of your company file.


Export Data from QuickBooks Desktop:

Next, you'll need to export your data from QuickBooks Desktop. Go to File > Utilities > Export > Lists to IIF Files. Select the lists you want to export, such as Chart of Accounts, Customers, Vendors, etc., and save the IIF files to a location on your computer.
