In order to enable multi-user mode within QuickBooks, Intuit recommends that you enable the "Host Multi-User Access" feature:

First, Open QuickBooks, go to File> Utilities> Host Multi-User Access and answer Yes.

Open QuickBooks: Launch QuickBooks Desktop on the computer that hosts the company file.

Login to Your Company File: Open the company file you want to use in multi-user mode.

Switch to Multi-User Mode: In the upper-right corner, you should see the "Switch to Multi-User Mode" option. Click on it to enable multi-user access.

Enable Hosting: After switching to multi-user mode, go to the "File" menu.

Select Utilities: Choose "Utilities."

Enable Hosting on the Computer: If you see the option "Host Multi-User Access," click on it to enable hosting on that computer.

Confirm Hosting Mode: QuickBooks will prompt you to confirm that you want to enable hosting. Click "Yes" or "OK."

Confirm Multi-User Mode: QuickBooks will prompt you to confirm that you want to switch to multi-user mode. Click "Yes" or "OK."

Greetings,
Peter
