A regular air conditioner has a refrigerant which absorbs the heat in the air and blows the wind cooler. It is a lot expensive and consumes a high amount of electricity too. While on the other hand, portable air conditioners work by dissipating the dampness inside and blow out the chilled breeze into the room. The warm air passes through the back unit of the portable air conditioner, where it will pass through a wet permeable layer to dissipate its dampness. The now chilled damp breeze will be blown out in front of the unit by a fan. To further simplify its process on how it makes air cooler, it catches hot air, process it, and afterward empty it through the fumes channel.
