Sometimes, web browsers restrict the websites like QuickBooks and Intuit from full access after identifying them as a threat. This may result in various errors, like QuickBooks error code 50004. So, you can fix them by adding these sites as trusted ones. Follow the given steps to add QB and Intuit as trusted sites in IE:

  • First, close QB and the company file and open the Internet Explorer browser on your screen.

  • After that, go to the upper right corner of IE and click on the Tools option.

  • Then, from the drop-down menu, choose Internet Optionsfollowed by Programs.

  • Then, hit on the Make Defaultbutton, and navigate to the Advanced section by tapping OK.

  • Click on the Security option followed by theTrusted Sitesbutton and go to the Sites.

  • Then, in the fields given there, include the following and hit the Add button.

  1. https://*.intuit.com

  2. https://*.intuit.net

  3. https://*.QuickBooks.com

  • Now, close the open window and go to the Custom Level segment.

  • Here, scroll down to the Miscellaneous category and choose the option to Enable.
