I created a group, but it does nothing
will it have its own forum? its own files? Or?
Can anyone explain what is the current functionality of creating a group?

Goto admin panel
Click on installed plugins
Click on Settings (for groups)
Click 'Additional Features' tab
Click the option to enable Forum
Afaik, we cannot have group blogs. But you could create a Group user. Have 'her' create teh group and use the Group user login blog (make a link with Html widget) so that group has blog

The basic group plugins does not allow to have blogs, files, photos for groups. But can be done via other plugins.
