Buyers trying to get original, high-quality content may feel misled by sellers using tools to create content based on artificial intelligence instead of creating it from scratch. As a writer, I have recently met with many potential clients who have asked me to "prove" that I really write.
Tools for writing using artificial intelligence have been around since I started my writing career 8 years ago. The difference now is that over the past few months they have become very widely known and much more powerful, and this worries buyers. In my opinion, authors can use these tools, but I believe it should always be disclosed to the client if they do — and hopefully they do more than just copy/paste what the artificial intelligence generated and sell it to you.
Is content created by artificial intelligence a bad thing?
Whether you love artificial intelligence or hate it, you should make sure you follow the best practices:
The content should be original and add new ideas, and not spew out ideas that are already on the Internet
The content must demonstrate first-hand experience and expertise (part of the Google E-E-A-T model).
The content should match the voice of your brand and directly address the pain points of your target reader
The biggest problem with a letter created by artificial intelligence is that it doesn't do any of the above. The author can edit and extend it to make it so, but how do you know if your author uses artificial intelligence to create some or all of the content he sends you?
