This summer we will replace our sliding glass doors. I'm trying to figure out if there's an advantage to installing French doors instead. But French doors have to open into or out of the room, so space is required. Besides, we can't leave the door open here without a screen. How does a mesh door fit with a French door?

We are also considering sliders with blinds or grilles between the panes. Is anyone familiar with this feature?

Replacing your sliding glass doors sounds like a cool summer project! French doors can add a touch of elegance to your home, but you're right, they need space to swing open. You might want to consider if that fits your layout. As for mesh doors with French doors, you can find options that work together. Look for retractable or sliding screens that complement your French doors and keep those pesky bugs out! Sliders with blinds or grilles between the panes are nifty! They offer a modern look and control over light and privacy. Check out https://doorsdirect2u.co.uk/product-category/french-doors/ for ideas and options. Take your time deciding, and make sure it fits your style and needs.
