will this alter values only for text area in sign up questions or will this affects areas like blogs, forum posts, etc.

 

also can we include any word count indicator.

If you change in the base component, it will affect areas.

If you want to restrict only to certain pages, you will need to edit that particular page.

Word count is not currently possible.
