you can only delete it in user roles, but you have to replace it with another role and you cannot change from that one either...it will be greyed out too....oxwall flaw

Go to roll management and just drag the free role down then go to your members profile that need a change of role you will find you can un tick the free and tick the new role. I normally open two browse windows to do this. Don't forget to drag your free role back into the default position
