We just installed Oxwall (1.5.1) mainly as a small company intranet. Having a problem that the "Upcoming Events" column on an user's Main page does not show accepted events, or even event the user created. And same goes for "Groups", i.e., groups the user joined does not show in the "Groups" column on the Main page?

Kaming,

>>"Upcoming Events" column on an user's Main page does not show accepted events, or even event the user created.

If you are referring to user's dashboard page, then accepted or created events are not displaying there since "Events" plugin was created this way originally. When somebody accepts/creates an event, this action gets displayed in the newsfeed. User can see his events ( created by him, or event he is attending) using "My Events" link under "Quick Links" section:

Same applied to "Groups".

"Upcoming Events" widget is displayed on site's main page and shows the latest upcoming events only.

Thank you Aliia. Are there plugins i can download/buy that does what i want (showing groups and events on main page)?

Also, is it possible to make the "quick links" widget available on the Main page? (we've turned off the dashboard function all together)?

Thank you cit27. But we've already installed the plugin "Groups" and "Events" (if you meant the free ones), but when put on the "Main" page, it only allow the users to create new group or event, but not to see which group or event they've joined or accepted already.

Still do not see "Quick Links" available to use on the "Main" page's customization. It's only available for use on the "Dashboard" page. In fact, how do we make all the widgets available on all the customizable pages??

No problem and thank you anyway.

I think i will go suggest they put in the option for Admin to choose to let users see joined "Groups" and accepted "Events" on their Main page. It does not make sense to me to make users click click click before they can see the groups they belong and events they accepted

This requires custom code medications.

If you would like users to have links to their blogs, links, groups and etc. on the main page feel free to use "Custom HTML" widget. Build an HTML with links to needed pages. For example:

<a href="http://yoursitename.com/events/joined">Events I am attending</a>
<br />
<a href="http://yoursitename.com/groups/my">My Groups</a>

Paste the code into the Custom HTML widget. Save the changes. Check your main page.

btw, is it possible to direct different users (with different roles) to separate 'arrival' page after login?

Basically we only have employees and client members and it will be nice to have employees go to Main and client members go straight to their group's main page.

Better 4 U to contact the specialist here: http://www.oxwall.org/market/specialists
or Oxwall Plugin Dev here: http://www.oxwall.org/store

Kamin, it is possible.
But requires custom code modification.

+1 to Unique's reply.

Hi all, I have a similar question:

under  "My Profile"  I can see all the groups and events I am participating in.

I want to place the block  "My Events"  into a new html-block on the main page which is displayed right after login,  so that every user can see all the events he is attending in
right after login.

Inside the source code of the "My Profile"-page I found the section

 <div class="ow_dnd_widget profile-EVENTX_CMP_ProfilePageWidget">

    <div class="ow_box_cap ow_dnd_configurable_component clearfix">
    <div class="ow_box_cap_right">
        <div class="ow_box_cap_body">
            <h3 class="ow_ic_calendar">Meine Events</h3>
        </div>

but inserting this section only the top bar with the calendar icon an "My Events" is displayed but none of the events I am attending.

So which part of code will I have to insert ? Anyone an idea ?

Thanks in advance, Jochen

P.S. I use Oxwall 1.6.0
