I have a question, I recently changed the webpage of the company I work for, but when I search the page in Google search console, I get results of a strange page from Japan, even if my website only has a .pe domain. What could be the reason for this?

What exactly is your problem? The page that is showing whether it is actually present or not?

That does sound like a strange situation. It's possible that Google might need some time to update its search results after you make changes to your website. Sometimes, it can take a while for the new version to replace the old one in the search index. However, if this issue persists, you might want to consider seeking help from experts. I stumbled upon pixelocity.com, and they seem to have insights into digital marketing and SEO. They could provide some guidance on how to resolve this issue and improve your website's visibility.

  1. Low Search Ranking: If your webpage isn't showing up in Google search results or has a low ranking, it might be due to poor SEO (Search Engine Optimization). You can improve this by optimizing your website's content, meta tags, and ensuring it's mobile-friendly.

  2. Indexing Issues: If Google hasn't indexed your webpage, it won't appear in search results. You can submit your sitemap through Google Search Console to help Google index your site faster.

  3. Penalties: If your website has violated Google's guidelines, it might receive a penalty, causing it to rank lower or be removed from search results. Check your Google Search Console for any notifications regarding penalties.

It sounds like you're dealing with an unexpected issue with your company's webpage showing up incorrectly in Google search results. The appearance of a strange page from Japan instead of your company's .pe domain is indeed puzzling. There could be several reasons behind this phenomenon.

Firstly, it's possible that there's a technical glitch or misconfiguration on your website that's causing Google to index the wrong pages. This could stem from issues like incorrect canonical tags, faulty redirects, or even duplicate content problems. Conducting a thorough audit of your website's technical setup might help identify and resolve any such issues.

Secondly, there's a chance that your website might have been compromised by a hacker who's manipulating its content to serve malicious purposes. In such cases, it's crucial to immediately investigate and secure your website to prevent further damage.

Additionally, it's worth considering the possibility of a domain-related issue. While your website might have a .pe domain, there could be factors causing Google to associate it with the strange Japanese page. This could include outdated or incorrect domain settings, misconfigured international targeting, or even domain hijacking.

To address this situation effectively, I would recommend taking the following steps:

1. **Review Google Search Console**: Dive deep into the Google Search Console to analyze how Google is crawling and indexing your website. Pay close attention to any crawl errors, indexing issues, or unusual URLs that might be present.

2. **Check Website Configuration**: Verify that your website's configuration, including canonical tags, redirects, and hreflang attributes, is correctly set up to reflect your .pe domain.

3. **Audit Website Security**: Conduct a thorough security audit of your website to ensure it hasn't been compromised. Look for any suspicious files, unauthorized access, or unusual activity that might indicate a security breach.

4. **Verify Domain Settings**: Double-check your domain settings to confirm that they accurately reflect your .pe domain and that there are no discrepancies or misconfigurations causing confusion.

5. **Seek Professional Assistance if Needed**: If you're unable to pinpoint the cause of the issue or if it seems beyond your expertise, consider reaching out to web developers, SEO specialists, or cybersecurity professionals for assistance.

In the meantime, keep monitoring the situation closely and take prompt action to rectify any issues that may arise. Maintaining a vigilant approach to your website's management and security is crucial to ensuring its integrity and performance in search engine results.
