How would it affect the member's usage of the site, if it is disabled?

Tester, this will effect only the page where it was disabled. So if you disable on 'My Profile' it will effect only 'My profile' page.

What difference doe it make when one disables javascript? Am correct in assuming that this will require less resources on the client side (user side) making for better response on low end client hardware?
