Instead of Wordpress why does not Oxwall.org use its own blog?

So shall we also use wordpress for blog?
If so how to inegrate with a common join and log in ( no, no third party likefacebook)

If Oxwall thinks we should use Oxwall blog it should also use it, shouldn't it?

I think a brand dilution occurs in this scenario - same true for FB  log in to Oxwall - if FB has no Oxwall log in why the hell should Oxwall provide one?

If the answer is there are many FB users, so are there are many many and many social net scripts but yet Oxwall is here

Just chat !

I don't use fb log in just for that reason. My site is not an extension of facebook. Also I agree if oxwall has the power to integrate wordpress blogs because they feel that its a better blog script then that really says something to the rest of us! Why not share that possibility with the rest of us.

To be honest, ... some of us including me really need facebook sign in/join with the aim to get as many fb users are simultaneously facilitate fb user to join our site...The second reason is FB that is one of the leader of social networking site ....and for the future as my dream is my oxwall site that would lead?
but is it possible? given the lack of knowledge about the oxwall script...GTranslated

@cit27

FB started with even few users than oxwall and even less features. They were not commercial or thought of earning money in the initial stages ( though later they became huge ugly data mining monoplistic monster) BUT they stuck to one thing - brand - u could never log in with say yahoo or google.

It really makes me sad to see the FB button here - and if it must be there G+ and Yahoo/Myspace and Twitter must be added. Internet is not facebook but inter - connected - net of many many non-monopolistic sites.

Since I am aiming / planning for a blogbased social net lack of blogging features particularly inabillity to allow users to upload and crop their own header image for blog and inability to choose their own theme is stopping me ...............

So Oxwall uses wordpress blog?  I would like to do the same, but want the blog to be private.

Blogs plugin is more for actual social networking sites where multiple users can have their own blogs. We don't need such option at oxwall.org, where ONLY ONE user can post blogs. Enabling "Blogs" plugin on our site would have involved extra custom work to make the plugin fit our needs.

You are free to use WP for your own personal blogs as well (example: Site Admin's Blog). However in this case, you will not be able to give your site users ability to have their own blogs, unless you modify WP.

Again, "Blogs" plugin is more of a platform for multiple blogs and that is the main reason why we don't use it on our site.

With regarding to FB connect. Well, it is up to you guys to choose whether to use the plugin or not.  We just try to provide as many useful features as possible.

"Social Networking" is a wide term and FB connect is very useful for sites that use Oxwall as a family/school networking platform.

We moving from FB to OX and the FB button really helps for this move over to private site.

What would be a nice thing to do with OX is give an abillity to join OX sites and search for them too and ask to join this way many communities will merge yet staing on own OX anyway just rambling on here :D
