A few weeks ago I spent a full day touring the National Watch and Clock Museum in central Pennsylvania. The museum is wonderful and also contains a library and research center. If you plan to visit I suggest dedicating an entire day since there over 13k timepieces with most being clocks. Here are a few pictures taken during my visit:

This is the front entrance - there is a nice parking lot right out front with many spaces available. I parked in front momentarily to include my vehicle in the picture.

Many of the rooms withing the museum are themed to varying degrees and decorated nicely. Since the museum is just minutes away from Lancaster there is a nice selection of historical items from Hamilton Watch Company.

To the left is the Grand Statuary Clock manufactured by Eugène Farcot in Paris. Eugène specialized in conical pendulum clocks and was awarded nearly two dozen patents for his horological inventions. And just in case you are interested, the museum contains and operates the Engle Monumental Clock which is also referred to as the 8th Wonder.

Here is a section of the library and research center. If you wish to spend time in this area I would recommend another full day, or more.

It is an amazing museum. Even my non-clock-loving wife enjoyed it.

Admission is free for NAWCC members and spouses.

It sounds like you had an amazing day at the National Watch and Clock Museum in Pennsylvania! Exploring over 13,000 timepieces, especially the intricate clocks, must have been a fascinating experience. The themed rooms and historical items from the Hamilton Watch Company add depth to the museum's offerings. And that Grand Statuary Clock from Eugène Farcot in Paris must have been a real highlight! If you're ever interested in exploring more unique and creative museums, you might want to check out miam. They have a knack for showcasing unconventional yet thought-provoking art. "
