Solution 1: Use QuickBooks File Doctor
Download and Install QuickBooks File Doctor:
Download and install the QuickBooks File Doctor tool.
Run QuickBooks File Doctor:
Open the QuickBooks Tools Hub.
In the "Company File" Issues tab, click on "Run QuickBooks File Doctor."
Browse and select your company file.
Click on "Check your file" and then "Continue."
Follow File Doctor Prompts:
Follow the prompts to let the tool diagnose and repair issues.
Solution 2: Rename the .TLG and .ND Files
Locate Company Files:
Navigate to the folder where your QuickBooks company files are stored.
Locate .TLG and .ND Files:
Look for files with the same name as your company file but with extensions .TLG (Transaction Log) and .ND (Network Data).
Rename Files:
Rename these files by adding "OLD" at the end of the file name (e.g., company_file.qbw.TLG.OLD).
Try Opening QuickBooks:
Open QuickBooks and try to access your company file.
Solution 3: Use a Backup
Restore from a Backup:
If you have a backup of your QuickBooks company file, restore it.
Ensure that the backup is from a time before the error occurred.
Solution 4: Use the Auto Data Recovery Feature
Restore Using ADR Copy:
Navigate to the folder where your company file is stored.
Look for a folder named "Auto Data Recovery" and locate the most recent .ADR file.
Copy the .ADR file to a new location.
Change the file extension from .ADR to .QBW.
Verify the Restored File:
Open QuickBooks and open the restored file.
Verify if your data is intact and if the error is resolved.
Solution 5: Use QuickBooks Database Server Manager
Open QuickBooks Database Server Manager:
On the server computer, go to the Windows "Start" menu.
Search for "Database Server Manager" and open it.
Scan the folder where the company file is located.
Verify Services:
Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
Type services.msc and press Enter.
Ensure that the QuickBooksDBXX service is running, where XX represents the version of QuickBooks (e.g., QuickBooksDB28 for QuickBooks Desktop 2018).
