Is there any way to transfer a user's gallery to another user?
I am concerned with Member A uploading photos for the community, and then having those photos disappear if that user's account should ever be deleted or that user leaves...
Is there a way of backing up user photos?
My social site is for a theater group, and it would be terrible if we were to loose the photos that users contribute if they leave in the future... we want to keep an archive.

David, just do a regular back up of "Photo" folder under ow_userfiles/plugins/.
There isn't a special setting in admin panel which allows to archive users' content.

and if I back that up, the pictures will remain, even if the user is deleted? If the creator of a group is deleted, that group goes away as well right?
