Images not showing up on my website! [Solved] | Forum

I have just recently just changed to a new host, unfortunately when I tried to extract all the data from my website the extract plugin decided not to work so I have to start over, now that I have set up again and started from scratch, every time I upload an image to my website it just shows up as a blank image, can some one please tell me why this is happening?

Stan, possible reasons.

1. some folders are missing on your server.
Check whether you have:

ow_pluginfiles/photo
ow_userfiles/plugins/photo

2. Make sure that those folders are set to have 777 permissions.

3. If you are using google maps plugin deactivate it.

4. Might be .htaccess issue: http://www.oxwall.org/forum/topic/5025

5. Check your access/error logs. Do they have anything related to photos?

Hi Aliia, my website is new and there is no other photo's on my website a part from the ones I tried to upload that are not showing up, you say set all my folders to 777 permission but which ones, do I open each and everyone and do them, please can you show me an example of how to do this?

Just had a look at the plugin gifts they too are not showing up on my website!

.htaccess issue within ow_userfiles folder.

Can we get the details for what solved this? Alot of us are having this issue.

Solved... After I changed went into and changed the folders to 777 it started working. I'm not sure why the change didn't stick before.

Doesn't 777 give worldwide write and execute access to your folders? That could be a potential security problem?

I have the same problem and find out there is no ow_userfiles/plugins/photo folder. I downloaded zip file again and there is no such file. I use oxwal 1.5.3.

Jozko, just go ahead and create "photo" folder manually. Set correct permissions to this folder and try to test again.
