Manual Update [Answered] | Forum

I have a few questions about manual updating.
The instructions are as follows:

  1. Download Oxwall Update Pack at Oxwall.org/download;
  2. Unpack it to the root folder of your software install;
  3. Finalize update by calling yoursite.com/ow_updates

my Question is with number 2.

By "unpack" does it mean "upload and extract the update file to my root?

Also do I just upload it to my public_html folder (which is my root)?

I just need clarification before I start as I have never done a manual before.

I have no choice..... restoring back to 1.5.1 loses a lot of site activity

OK... all went well.... no problems that I can see so far, big thanks for clarifying that for me.
