Hi i have tryed all the different cron commands and all i get is emails sent to me with the following:
/bin/sh: /usr/bin/wget: Permission denied
What can i do?
or will the software work without the cron job

No you must have the cron running every minute. you need to contact your host and have them set the wget option on the server.
