email verification problem again | Forum

Hi everyone,

I have installed oxwall on a beta site a week ago i managed to customize it to my needs. then i start testing by adding new members with a valid email addresses. everything works fine

user write his details then he receives email verification then after he verifies his email he is a member.

i managed to send 5 invitations just to test. It works fine

I tested mass mailing for members it works fine.

The next day new members try to register in my site they dont get email verification......????

I tryied many things i also tryied searching in the forum also the web no luck..

Finally i spook to my host customer support hopping that they can rectify and fix the problem NO LUCK.

So yesterday i ask them to reset my hosting account and DNS basically everything.

I installed Oxwall once again and costimized it and everything works fine.

few members register everything works great new members get verification email then activate there account. TODAY HOWEVER this features stopped again users who want to register cant get verification email ?

Please help on how to fix this issue....

did you check if the cronjob for run.php is properly set ?

Thanks Aliia for replying you been always been a great help for Oxwall community.

I managed to solve the problem and her is what happined

When a user register an email verification will be sent to him/her

Now in the default email subject of the email verification title as (Email verification)

It seems the hosting had alot of spams from one on there domains thats why every email sent using email subject Email Verification will be set as spam and will not send.

Therefor i changed the SUBJECT as Validate your registered email at (Site name)

AND surprisingly it worked. the SMTP does not show my emails as spams anymore. so it was mainly the hosting problem.

I ADVICE the default Oxwall installation to have email verification subject as

Validate your registered email at (Site name)

Admin panel>>Settings>>Language>>search by "verification" keyword.
Text key you need to change is : {text key='base+email_verify_subject'}

I received verification email from your site.
It landed in my gmail's SPAM box.

Hello everyone... I am experiencing the same issue as Mathes. When a user sign up for my http://www.pawnlists.com it indicates that it has send the e-mail, but when the user goes and check it, it's not there. Even in the junk folder... please help....

Sammy, I will be glad to take a look at your issue.
Can you provide
-site URL
-admin panel username and pass
- URL to your control panel
-username and password to your control panel.

Sammy's issue was resolved.

Solution: change title of the verification emails in admin panel>>settings>>language ( as discussed earlier in this topic).

Changed to "Email Validation" and emails started to come.
