Hello..

I'm sorry if this is not the right place..

but I have a suggestion about our current rating system (at photo, video plugins), instead of showing the 1 to 5 stars rate, why not just showing the total amount of stars collected?

so instead of showing: Total: 5 (2 rates)

why not show this : Total: 10 points

another example: Total: 3 (25 rates)

become: Total: 75 points

this way, people won't get offended if someone just give 1 star to their photo/video .. because 1 star often means like an offence rather than a rating. AND just because one person gave 5 stars, it doesn't mean that photo/video is awesome.. because it's only by one person.. I hope you guys understand what I mean ^_^

good idea.... I like the current one... so if this was implemented I'd like a choice

Ah yes a choice would be good!

Actually I learned this idea from a Japanese art website www.pixiv.net , where people can submit their art and have other people look at and rate it. it is not showing the average rating, but only the total stars they got.
