Solved it now

I had the site visible to guests setting turned off, soon as I turned it on, I saw the landing page

lol def, just solved another issue as well now with the landing page, I wanted to have a background image and just learned about adding css to the new landing page I created and at the same time learned that I could edit the css for the theme I am using, am loving this so far, does everything I need it to do, will be looking at more plugins tomorrow
