Is it possible for someone to create a filter for the newsfeed that allows the user to only view posts from a chosen gender and/or age range? If it is possible could this be an option under "my preferences" i.e where the email and privacy options are?

Michael, yes, it's possible, but it requires quite a complicated code modifications. Maybe other forum
members have ideas on how to perform it. Or if you are not
familiar with the code modifications, it would be better for you to find
a developer who can help you with it.
