wait a minute i figured it out..

i change the "redirect URL" to http://sitename.com/google/oauth ..and its working.

Ketil, in your case navigate to "Credentials" from left side bar>>Create new client ID.

Authorized JavaScript origins- URL to the place where Oxwall is installed.
Redirect URI- URL to the place where Oxwall is installed with /google/oauth string. Example: http://sitename.com/google/oauth

For version 1.6, not working. Sorry.
Nor Facebook neither Google.

Daniel, this plugin was tested to work with 1.6 several times.
demo.oxwall.org uses 1.6 version and contact importer works there. So, most likely the issues is within settings of your APPs.
