Allow guests to view profiles only? | Forum

Hi,

I'm wondering how I can make it so that guests can actually view member's profiles but nothing else? Currently the setting "Guests can view the site" is all or nothing.

I'd like guests (which would also include Google!) to view the profiles... Any tips for allowing that and have all other pages show the login/join page?

Thanks

GOTO yoursite.com/admin/permissions/roles and unmark everything from guest except view profiles.

Yes, Ive done that, however... I do want to show the login screen (which only happens if "Guests can view the site" = no) ,on ALL other page except a direct URL of a profile... so essentially... anything outside of /user should get prompted with a join screen

Make sense?

Set all of the pages to 'Registered Members' only - admin/pages/manage. This will force them to only see the join screen.

Oh... I didn't think of that... I'll give that a try.

Thanks
