First go to (Enteryourwebsite).com/advertisement/admin/add/

then you will see the above screenshot,

you Need a ADVERTISEMENT CODE, like a code from adsense/or any third part advertisement TAG. and you need to paste it on CODE SECTION of the plugin

2) Name the Banner (label)

3) Choose which countries this ad should be shown to. if no countries selected the ad will be global.,,, means if you need your ads to shown in a particular country only select the country, otherwise leave it blank

4) CLICK on ADD

5) now go to Banner Placement''

6) Select the page where you need the ads to be shown,

7) in this page you can see the layout of your theme like TOP, BOTTOM,LEFT, RIGHT
8) so place the right banner with the drop down option

The country selector seems not be working.

If I leave the right column empty, then the ad is visible everywhere - as expected.

But as soon as I make a selection, the add is NOWHERE to be seen. I tried selecting ALL countries - but the add is never shown.

What i want is to have ALL countries and just ONE where the add is NOT shown. So I selected all countries in the right column and the one country for which I want to hide the add in the left column. Result: NO ADD EVER SHOWN, NO MATTER WHERE!

Can this get fixed?

Martin, we checked your report and everything works. Please try to check it once again and if the problem still persists - provide us with the step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the problem.

Ok, here it is:

1. I have an italian IP when using my desktop.

2. I have a Congolese (DRC) IP when using my mobile phone

- If I keep the right country column empty, I can see my ads

- If I move ALL countries to the right columns, I can NOT see my ads

- If I place just Italy in the right columns, I do NOT see my add, even though I have an italian IP

- If I place just DR Congo in the right columns, I do NOT see my add, even though I have a DR Congo IP (on my mobile phone)

to make it short: The country specific adds ONLY work if I do not select ANY country - but that will make my add seen EVERYWHERE, what I do NOT want.

My GOAL is to have the adds shown in ALL countries EXCEPT ITALY.

For that I placed ALL countries except Italy to the right column. Italy I left in the left column. Still I cannot see the add, neither on my desktop (with italian IP) NOR on my mobile device (with congolese IP)...

Martin, seems the problem occurs because there is no your IP in the database. Let me explain how it works.

There are two tables:

ow_base_geolocation_country
ow_base_geolocation_ip_to_country

These tables contain the range of IP addresses connected to the countries.
When you open the site, the system detects your IP, searches for it in these tables, compares the ads settings and if the ads should not appear for this IP - you will not see it.

In your case - you have set restrictions for all countries except Italy, but even you have the Italian IP - it does not exist in the range of existing IPs in database, that's why you do not see the ads.

To make it work for your IP, you should find the range of IP addresses you ISP provides, convert them to Long/Decimal IP and add the entry into the  ow_base_geolocation_ip_to_country using the existing entries as an example.

If I understand you right, I have to add my IP address in the tables via phpMyAdmin?

I want to BLOCK my own (italian) ip 178.219.76.30 because I am in a LAN and if my students click on ads, adsense will block me for fraud... SO I need to hide adds for my own (italian) IP.

Yes, you should find the range of IPs and add it to the database using the existing entries as an example.
