Sorry if I've missed something really obvious but just wondering, what can a friends moderator do that a normal member can't?

In the admin section under privacy & permissions, moderators, there is a tick box for friends. I'm just wondering what permissions this gives to a moderator?

In fact this checkbox doesn't do anything and should not have been added at all.
We will remove this in one of the next builds.
