I'm on PHP 5.4.20 with no problems if that helps


I can imagine you'd some pretty grumpy forum threads if it didn't work with 5.3

Yes, according to our requirements it should work just fine with 5.3

Really???  I got a 500 error earlier today and it made me feel sad.

I don't know.  Next try the site worked so I am happy again.

If I change a new user's role and then activate them it makes me go to an error 500 and that makes me sad.

Steve, please enable dev/debug modes when you get error and copy this error here, so we could assist you with that.

The error does not seem to be repeating and now my host has switched to PHP 5.3 with no apparent sadness.
