To clarify, I'm clicking on the little camera icon. In your screenshot you've got Gallery showing 6 images; on mine there is nothing, not even a zero.

Is "Gallery" related directly to the message senders Photo Album, or is that something different?

If yes, then Oxwall doesn't support mobile devices yet.

No.
Gallery is any image you have uploaded via media panel using "Insert Photo" icon.
So if you upload an image on forum or blog post using this icon, this image will also be available in your gallery when sending private message and vice versa.

Sorry, I just looked at your screens and assumed that this was done on an iphone.

i had this problem and with debug on i found the folder it try to put the images in did not have the right permissions they need to be 777 sory i not remember the folder name
