On the demo site there is a right menu that shows my profile and add new how do i get this on my site?
Also how do i get the rotating images at the top of the demo site i want that on mine

the my profile menu is automatic and only lost in a few templates
the image rotator you can search for some script online there is a lot to pick

Image rotation can be done by a simple html/java script. I have a couple I used but I like the OCS SLIDER in Oxwall store.
Some themes don't have "sidebars". Try uploading a new theme from the store that includes one.
