Bad looking mobile version [Solved] | Forum

John
John Jan 10 '14

This is a screenshot taken from my iPhone, sincerely the mobile version has a messy look for me to say at least. I have updated to 1.6, plugins updated, themes updated, tried different themes, this is how it's expected to look? Maybe I forgot something, maybe there is an error or something must be edited. What are that titles, photo+mobile_photo and all? Nobody knows what is on this index page ...

Please check with ENGLISH LANGUAGE ENABLED,,,, i think you are using another language other than English,So activate English in your Language settings

I agree with Stanley, it seems like a language problem, you should check if the selected language is English or your selected language has the respective translations.

+1.
Also try to regenerate lang. cache by going into your admin panel>>languages>> and saving the page without doing any changes.

If your mobile is not showing proper ,this issue is probably caused by a template .please try this main template  that oxwall use   and it should fix your mobile problems.  The menu is just the same as your main site ,but on smaller scale  ,when more things come out for mobile you well see more things in mobile admin so you can arrange them or remove them or add  text ,same as your main website

Stanly

Back up everything….My few issues after updating to 1.6 where with my custom cod modifications, so make a folder with all your modified codes and its original code including 1.6 versions. Then update each one and then check after each update to see if errors accrue. I found a few and quickly fixed them.

You will like it, the core runs much smoother too! See my post http://www.oxwall.org/forum/topic/15458?page=5#post-79540 for more info on all the core updates.

I tried this on my friend Stans website but it did not work, the only solution was to use the default template of oxwall

Hey Pete,

I'm using 'My Diary’ (http://www.oxwall.org/store/item/365) theme but when I updated to 1.6 I had to look for my theme to see if they updated too. Because my mobile version looked strange because it was for 1.5.3 version and not 1.6 version. So make sure your theme has been updated to 1.6. You should also get a “notice” in the admin area saying “Theme” update available, check for that as well.
