1. If you are referring to users with smiley avatars, then we do have a couple of reports about those spammers.

What to do?

You will need to find out whether those are human spammers or spam scripts.
Create a new profile questions of "URL" type. Make this question required on join form.
Monitor your site for about 5 days. If those users keep registering- those are human spammers and there is not much you can do. If spammers stop registering for at leas 2-3 days - then those are spam scripts. In this case, provide us with access details to your site and we will try to help you with this issue.

2. Can not delete users.

You will need to update "Privacy" plugin.

Which plugins are you using?

Can you also go to ow_plugins/friends/bol/service.php.

What do you have on lines 136-150?
