Is it standard for Oxwall to use both the root folders /www and /public_html ?

I ask because I have both directories in use by oxwall and both seem to replicate the same files.
I thought in the past it was only using the /public_html but since I updated from my host provides website to 1.6 I think it created/started using the/www directory... Maybe I am wrong and never took notice in the past, if someone could clarify that would be great.

Thanking you in advance!

www is a shortcut to the public_html directory that some webhosts disable and others enable. It is simply because people did not know what the public_html directory was for.
