The search on forum does not work proper ,if you type in a key word nothing happens .people can only use this search if thy also add filter by user

It works okay. Just enter a search string that works and hit the Enter key.

Try "wrap in box" without the quotes.

I agree that the search facility could do with a "Begin" button or the standard magnifier. but it does work.

Pete are you talking about this forum? Maybe you're searching for a string that doesn't exist. For example:

wrap box - returns nothing
wrap in box - returns several results, mostly from me!

This isn't Google and misspelled words or unmatched strings will return nothing.

Don't forget to hit "enter"

it works ok with Google chrome but not with IE10  ,never mind ,and thank you for your reply's

Pete, I've never used any version of IE so I wouldn't know. It also works on Firefox wcjhixh was what I was using when I contacted you.

Is it possible to have "search of content" for other parts of the site similar to forum such as blog, or activity stream, links, etc... At this time, it seems there is only "tag search"

We are considering the implantation of such option into Oxwall. The main problem with search within the whole site - performance. To perform it fast, obviously, site content should be cached by the platform. And all plugins should be able to use the system cache provided by platform. That is what we are thing about.
