I selected the free Newsfeed Plugin for Self-ees.com not realizing that we already had the exact plugin, I thought that it was an advanced plugin or something but I was wrong. Now I'm not able to navigate or move about the Admin area at all, I can click on tabs but they will not do anything, PLEASE HELP!!! this is the message that appeared Platform update request

The source code of 'Newsfeed' plugin was updated. Need to update plugin DB.

Hi Ross

I have done that several times and it still will not allow me to click on any thing else in the admin area.

It continues to stay stuck on the same page.

What does "Need to update DB mean? Database!  because that's also what it says.

This is what I'm referring to. You have uploaded new newsfeed files, now you need to update your database. Have you updated it?

How do you do that?  as I explained already, I've clicked on the update tab and it does nothing!  I don't know what else to do.  When I clicked on that tab it says that it was successful however it still does not allow me to me to click on anything else in the admin are period! its stuck! can this be resolved?  once again, I have clicked on the update tab several times and still nothing!

You need to update the platform, then plugins. These are the correct steps to run the update. Do you have a backup?

Then you need to disable those plugins in the database.

Go to ow_base_plugin table

In the column isActive put 0 for those plugins which you have 'to update database' message for in the admin panel.

Then follow the instructions from here: http://www.oxwall.org/forum/topic/24134

Walid, that means you need to disable the premoderation plugin too. See my instructions above.

As to the user_searchCMP widget, this is known bug, even though it is deactivated, it leaves remains and creates this error, you need either to delete it completely or contact plugin developer to fix the issue. Check this topic how to delete the widget: http://www.oxwall.org/forum/topic/25766?page=1#post-113965
