is there a way to run a crontab even if the host does not allow access to cron? I'm on a shared host.
I know that an extension of drupal (poormanscron) can do this kind of thing, but with oxwall is there a way to do that, like a php script ?

You have to install cronjob to run oxwall. This is a standart requirement for most community softwares.
