Forum needs one more layer or permission | Forum

I would like to create forum topics as admin then allow site members to create their own posts within that forum topic, much like a standard forum. Looks like forum permissions needs 'Write on comment wall' or similar like Groups has.

within my oxwal site i want to lock down the creation of forums topics and only allow users/members to participate within those topics, not create new ones. that does not seem possible currently

No, it doesn't. I don't sure that we will do it soon. I suggest you to post a job on our market about this.

OIC it does what I want just not the same way as groups. The admin interface is just set up differently for forums.
