Robert, you can set any action user receives credits for to "lose credits". For example "Add event" option, usually this action is under "Receiving Credits" section in settings of our plugin. Click on the number next to it and set it to negative one ( ex: -5). This will move "Add event" action to "Loosing credits" section. Next time when user adds an event 5 credits will be deducted from his balance.

Robert,changes needs to be done within the "Newsfeed" plugin and not within "User Credits" one. So you might want to suggest this to Oxwall team.

Same applies to avatars, our plugin doesn't add actions. It just collects those actions from the installed plugins and core functionality. So this feature needs to be done within the Oxwall's core.
