I get user like this more than ten everyday registering on my site. this is my big long old problem and i call it scammers. and looks like now oxwall become their target too. they send paste pm very fast to everyone and if they also targeting your site be ready to suspend alot of user everyday.
they not posting link, they just trying to manipulating people and many my user become their victim.
Until now it is still my biggest problem

Ben, i suggest you set member approval to admin only for awhile, and also start using the ipdeny from cPanel if you have not yet done so. This will help quiet things down for you. Check this out..

that's what i do dave because too many ip to banned, they have server from all over the world! . they make me crazy for three years their ip always changing
