Can this be used to create an Intranet or Client Portal?

I'd like to create a closed site that is one which is only available to my employees and clients where we can share files, have discussions and work together.

Would Owall work well for this purpose?

Second question is what software is used to do this discussion board?

yes you can do that, admin - global privacy

I like the discussion board too! Wondering if it has plugin mods for it?
I'd like to have features like sub forums, sig files, karma/participation points etc but it looks good.

Buddypress and bbpress are great but unless you are really top notch programer designer can be very bland. I love Oxwall
