installingplugin via FTP | Forum

Hi,

I have a big plugin (6MB) which I cannot install via the inbuilt upload function for plugins. So I used FTP. After upload the plugin showed up in "Available plugins" from where I installed it.

The plugin showed up in "Installed plugins" but without the settings option, obviously the installation went wrong. So I desinstalled it again, after which it COMPLETELY diasappeared, even rom "Available plugins".

Now I uploaded it again via FTP - but this time it does NOT show up in "Available plugins"...

Has anybody a solution or tip to share? Thank you very much!

What plugin is it? Can you please provide a link on the store? Are you sure there should be settings button?

It's "Profile Game".

I cannot uninstall it, it gives only the error message that the desinstallation failed. Yes, it should have a settings button.

Can I just delete the folder via FTP and then delete all "Profile Game" entries in the tables via phpMyAdmin ?

Yes, you can do that

Can you tell me which tables are necessary?

And what about tables that the plugin created?

go to ow_base_plugin table and find the row with the corresponding name and delete it.

I was able to desinstall the plugin via phpMyAdmin. I reinstalled it several times now: vis FTP or via inbuild upload function. I always get to the point that the plugin shows up as available, but the last click on "Install" brings an error message: Internal Server Error: 500

I have over 70 plugins - all installed without a problem.

I tried enabling dev-mode before installing via FTP - same problem.

Please, who can help. The developer is NOT answering any message from me....

Martin, can you please send me the plugin package in the PM? I will check it on my test website.
