You can't play video in the newsfeed, you can insert video URL and play it in the video section

the date on that video is may 7th before the platform update it would of been added using the embed code hence why it still plays in the newsfeed

it is more better to add playing video in news feed and it appears in video section too, like newsfeed pictures.

This is how oEmbed works. You can make a suggestion on uservoice for us to add this feature in one of the upcoming releases.
