Hello I'm looking to make a custom theme for my website and was wondering what files i need to have to make a theme work and how would i go about creating a theme.

I would suggest studying up some already made themes and incorporate some of those elements into your design.

But you can always edit the CSS of a theme to make it custom to you.

No, if you just want to make color, images and width changes etc id suggest just doing css edits.
