Hello I uploaded an animated gif image to my site but its not working.
Is gif animation turned off or something?

Also when I uploaded a transparent png file it broke the image.

I did I searched for gif animation not working, gif not working, enable gif,

Says "No posts found".

apart from this one.

Oh did you disable them?

We dot support gif format, as we use GD library which main function is to resize images and it does not allow to use gif animation.

as to png - This happens because of the photo plugin as well as other plugins using GD library, it resizes images and convert them to jpeg automatically as it is more stable to use.
